piece together: to combine many small things to make something bigger
|
Workshop timetable published.
Piece together is a workshop and market place where you can create things, meet people and purchase local handmade and vintage items. Workshops are led by talented designers who can offer insight into their process and ways to customise the projects for better outcomes or fit. While sewing classes form the foundation of the workshops offered, creatives from different arena’s will offer insightful and fun workshops always taking into account customer feedback and interests. Where possible the classes reuse vintage wares or existing items with the focus on sustainable practice throughout. Depending on the level of difficulty class sizes have 8 to 10 participants. All equipment for the classes is provided including sewing machines and other hardware. These facilities are also available for use outside of class times in case a project could not be completed in class or for personal projects. So if you don't have a sewing machine, or if you just prefer company whilst you work, come in to the studio. To make this easier we have times set aside without classes for social sewing events. At piece together our designers love their work and teaching their skill to others. We make sure the workshops are not only informative but also a fun way to meet new people or catch up with friends. So when you can attend a workshop you will learn new skills, take home your own handmade items and have a great time doing it. Handmade objects of beauty and interest are stocked in the studio to promote the works of our designers as well as Brisbane crafters and artists. As a result the business is both a conduit for the customer to gain skills and meet people as well as designers to expanding their market. Send us your feedback. |
